A new way to bring arguments to the workplace, or a stroke of genius?

No, it’s not the future of Battleships, it’s ASUS foray into the world of collaborating working.
Demoed during the company’s keynote conference in Vegas today, the system revolves around a set of stunningly designed laptops that fold in a variety of ways in order to be linked together.
Forgetting the fact that the flat-profile touch keys would be a nightmare to work with (as are some co-workers, of course), the idea is to bend the laptops either flat or back to back, so that whichever screen is on top communicates with the one it’s in contact with.

The result is two users, on two computers sharing one screen. The system can also be used wirelessly over Wifi.
What with a predicted 7 million Eee PCs finding their way into our homes by the end of 2009, it looks like ASUS may well find themselves with enough bunce to get such an obscure concept into production some time soon.
