Presented in May 2007, this is meant as a design study, mainly planned to bring forth the purest form of the TT.
The development engineers at Audi attempted to bring the car to its raw driving essentials. There is neither a roof nor A-pillars but merely a wraparound windscreen which is kept very low, bringing to mind the pictures of a racer. The cockpit is surrounded by a flat, and a window strip that is slightly tinted. The windscreen by nature offers a panoramic view and there are two humps present behind the interior, replacing the hood. These give a person vivid images of a speeding car. The roll over bars formerly seen in TT Roadster is flatter in this case and at the same level as the sports bucket seats.
Similar to all the current products from the Audi family, the TT Clubsport Quattro comes with an explicit single frame grille. Aluminium inserts in the grille provide a horizontal appearance to its design, thus making the car appear wider .The logo of Audi is featured on the bonnet and not on grille, witnessed first on the concept of Audi Shooting Brake.

The vehicle comes painted in Daytona Grey,a color first observed on the Audi S8 and the RS 4. This provides a light contrast with the grille, side grille and the metallic elements that come in a steely color termed as Gun Metal, altogether giving a simple and forceful appearance to the TT Clubsport Quattro. The brake callipers which are orange in colour link the interior design to the exterior, providing a visual treat to the eyes. The armrest, instrument cowl and the back of the bucket seats in the interior are made prominent in orange.
Technology emphasizes the racing attitude of the TT Clubsport Quattro. The 2.0 liter TFSI engine comes with a higher power than the 260 bhp unit present in Audi S3.300 bhp is attained by the four-cylinder unit that is turbocharged, complete with petrol direct injection. An assorted intake increases the power. All the four wheels receive the transferred power. The TT Clubsport Quattro is the first new-generation TT that comes equipped with an engine og four cylinders and four-wheel drive that is Quattro permanent.
The vehicle’s transmission is a clutch with dual capabilities; an S tronic direct-shift gearbox that virtually changes gear while the power flow remains uninterrupted and while the driver remains oblivious to the whole mechanism. The gears which are six in number can be manually changed and these gearshifts just consume fractions of a single second.
