Today objects, gadgets and even vehicles have a very short lifespan, people always strive for more things and get them faster and cheaper. People don’t realize all the garbage, pollution and waste created by this behavior until they suffer the consequences with the global warming and economical crisis.

This small eco-car known as Ben was created by a designer who comes with his MDes major project, a car that is more than just a mode of transport, more than something we use until is exhausted or broken. It is made with the purpose of being an object with “personality” and its own identity. Apart from being a tool for use it should also be something to look after and to trust. The aim is the creation of a car that can be “adopted” as a member of your family or your pal, giving it even your surname.

Ben is meant to be a fresh, urban small car with a smaller size than a Fiat 500 and space for 4 adults. Besides its 300V lithium-ion battery that powers the 2 Michelin active-wheel hub motors creating a combined engine with 81 horsepower makes the car gentle with the environment.
