The main aim of the Braille credit card concept designed by Yongsuk Kim is to facilitate the blind and visually impaired people with the opportunity not to depend on others about their financial transactions, while being completely safe from credit card scams.
This card, one of its Concept Award participants, generates Braille after completing every transaction on the plastic knobs to let the user know the amount that has been billed to him or her. A miniature speaker has been incorporated with the design telling the user the sum out loud. This feature is also helpful for elderly people who are barely able to read Braille but still can enjoy the card transaction facility.
