Cognitive Balloon Concept

The cognitive balloon concept was designed by Min Ji Hong and Kim Dong Eonto. First of all, the creators aimed to ensure maximum safety for the swimmers, as the concept sends a signal to the lifeguards when a swimmer is in any danger.

The aim of this cognitive balloon concept is to make the work of seashore lifeguards easier. Basically the concept allows to spot a person, who is in danger, shows their exact location, which is one of the key reasons of beach fatalities. Besides, the concept also eliminates the hassle of swimmers to wear inconvenient and ugly safety gears by featuring a fashionable discrete wristband that releases a balloon with a simple button press.

The balloon is filled with compressed helium gas and rising quickly. Due to this, the lifeguards can easily identify a swimmer who is in danger even at a crowded beach.
