According to the designer Yan-Ting Chen, the modern ruler or measuring tape hasn’t been innovated enough. This is why he put some thought into creating a concept of a future ruler, called the E-Ink ruler.

It’s not a secret that currently there are two main measuring units available for the users in the world: Metric and Imperial Units. And these two measuring units are totally different. The e-ink ruler is a Tape Measure that uses e-ink which will make the measuring system easily switched between metric or imperial to show a number more familiar with you.

The e-ink tape would be designed flexible to allow it to roll up like a regular tape measure and thanks to e-ink technology, the battery will last a month or more.

Thanks to innovative design of the concept ruler the consumers can estimate the length of anything quickly.
