Ferrari has announced its plans to introduce a new 599 Hybrid concept model for quite some time now. And now the first photos and some details of the concept vehicle have appeared on the web. The Italian car manufacturer has scheduled to debut the supercar concept at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in just a few days. Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo has also confirmed during the Ferrari F10 Formula 1 car launch that a 599 hybrid concept was indeed under development.
According to the initial information the car will be powered with an electric motor, which is able to produce about 100 horsepower and 137Nm (110 lb-ft) of torque.
Though the added weight of 100 kg (220 lbs) from the hybrid components, the power to weight ratio is more than compensated by the horsepower generated by electric motor therefore making the 599 hybrid faster than the standard 599.
It should be noted that the hybrid model is in the stage of development for now and will most likely be put on mass production in a few years.
