Both this LG concept phone for the Design the Future Competition and the one displayed below were created by designer Aaron Martinez. The new concept is the LG Eco Solar Power Cellphone, that charges due to fluorescent and incandescent lights, direct and indirect sunlight, relying on a photovoltaic cell.
Since the handset is concerned, it has Windows Mobile on board (the flavor is unknown), LED backlight technology, a brilliant display with advanced touchscreen technology, an LED illuminated magnifier, a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and Microsoft Silverlight browser. An 8 megapixel camera supporting 1080p video capture can be found at the back.
The magnifier mechanism, detailed in the picture below, is rather interesting, as it includes a 5 inch round lighted unit, supporting 10x magnification and +3.00 diopters. The LG concept’s camera supports 200x digital zoom, progressive, has a max shutter speed of 1/2000 sec and an image stabilizer (optical). Probably, this is the best LG phone design ever…
