MIESROLO, The First Dynamic Cantilever Chair was designed by Uros Vitas. It was designed under the Sustainable Design initiative led by M.A. Jelena Matic of University of Belgrade’s Department of Wood Processing and Furniture Design.
Miesrolo is made from different wood waste materials as a sustainable design project. The chair can be completely rolled and folded into an easily portable shape for moving from one place to another. This attribute also saves a lot of space. Since it uses waste wood products, it is very cheap and its mass production is economical. It is made up of recycled wooden bands fitted together by synthetic bands. When retracted it is very strong to act as a durable seat.
MIESROLO, The First Dynamic Cantilever Chair won the award for the Best Scientific Professional Work in 2006-07 from the University of Belgrade and the Golden Key Award at Belgrade International Furniture Fair in 2006-07
