Designer Geoffrey Cooper, who is working at Coroflot, has introduced a new concept tablet intended to be used in the health care industry.
Named Toshiba Rx Medical Tablet, this concept was presented at CES 2010. The concept features curvaceous form-factor and wipe-clean chassis, as well as an integrated hand-strap on the rear side. Taking into consideration the fact that tablets are an integral part of the health care industry, the Rx Medical Tablet has good chances to be doctor’s best companion in the near future.
According to the creator, Geoffrey Cooper, medical staffs in hospitals will someday walk around the hospital halls with this kind of Toshiba Rx medical tablets.
The main features of the concept tablet include voice and handwriting recognition, as well as on-screen keyboards to interact with digital patient records. The usual desktop computers are replaced with docking stations with full QWERTY keyboard.Due to this features the doctors will have easy access to medical records and medicine prescription.
Toshiba has not reported if the company is working on this concept or if the tablet will ever be produced.
