Josep Ferriol, a designer and a graduate of Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in Spain has made this Volkswagen Kai-Nalu concept design, a wild child with extremely exotic appearance, as part of his thesis. Josep was mainly inspired from/by the waves of the Mediterranean sea. The flowing glass part is styled after the sea, while the lower body got its inspiration from rocks as they get hit by smashing waves.
The designer knows very well how disputable and bold the Kai-Nalu would be, given the tendency for several modern cars to follow such design patterns. But this was intentional so as to allow the car to stand out. Among the main features are included an electric drivetrain with two separate motors, highly stylized wheels and the clear roof.
