We haven’t seen a lot of innovative designes from RIM recently, but the designer John Anastasiadis has come up with a pretty cool and innovative concept for a BlackBerry. The concept mobile phone features a display that wraps around to the back of a concept smartphone.
John Anastasiadis explains the idea behind the Wrap-around BlackBerry smartphone concept:
“The front and back cameras are positioned underneath the screens. When needed the area around the camera lens becomes transparent. The wrap around screen can allow for separate workspaces and/or a more three-dimensional interaction with the device. Obvious benefits apply to business, entertainment and navigation applications.”
Of course, we should admit that BlackBerry can now use all the help from designers who can suggest new ideas, so the company can reinvent its brand and line of smartphones. This new concept phone has a new screen technology, which is flexible, lightweight and transparent. This is all BlackBerry devices need, if you ask me. Let’s hope that this concept will appear in production and we will see the Wrap-around BlackBerry in the market sometime soon.
